Hey hey! Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have fun plans on the weekend agenda (or a whole lot of relaxing to look forward to!) We’re headed to a family reunion on Saturday, which I’m really excited for, and Sunday I hope to do some mega meal planning in preparation for next week! I’m also hoping to get out on the bike trails a bit on Sunday. On to today’s post! One of my favorite things in the blogging world is seeing weekly roundups of favorite things! As someone who is always open to trying new foods, brands, products, etc. I find it interesting to see what others in the health & fitness world are trying and using! Of course I have a handful of tried and true favorites, whether it be snack foods, recipes, workouts, or products, but I’m also always on the hunt for new finds! So on Fridays, you can expect to see a roundup of my weekly finds and faves, here we go!
Andalou Face Wash: For 15 years, I switched up my face wash constantly, never truly satisfied with how my skin felt. In recent years, I’ve gravitated toward more natural products and think I’ve found my face wash soul mate in these Andalou foaming facial cleansers! They are super gentle for my sensitive skin, they leave my face perfectly clean, and they smell incredible! Even better? They’re all natural. I prefer the sensitive formula, with rose stem cells (pink bottle), but both these options are great! You can find this brand at Whole Foods!
Inspirational Quote Cards: I am a sucker for inspirational quotes (and love quotes, and life quotes…okay, I just LOVE quotes). So I was beyond delighted when I received this quote card set as a gift from a wonderful friend and co-worker. There’s something about reading through inspirational quotes that just puts me in a good mood or motivates me when I need that extra push. When I was studying for my personal trainer exam, I often switched these up in my work space to keep me going strong! Now, they’re on display in our living room and we rotate them frequently! You can find this quote card set at Target!
Cooking Light Subscription: I recently subscribed to Cooking Light magazine after having great success with some of their online recipes and I have to say, I love it! June and July issues are chock full of fresh, summer salads and tons of colorful, healthy dinner options! One of my favorite recipes so far is the Steak & Tomato Panzanella (I altered the recipe a bit to make the meal gluten-free)…a dinner my husband and I both loved, and it was really simple and easy to make! Next week, I plan to make the Pasta with Prosciutto, Cherry, Tomatoes, and Asiago! The magazine also offers a collection of helpful health articles and more!
Curate Bars: How did I not know these tasty snacks existed? A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting some awesome Curate team members at Chicago’s Randolph Street Festival. They were kind enough to share samples of their awesome bars and I am hooked! Wholesome ingredients, gluten-free, 6 grams of protein, and DELICIOUS! I always keep snacks in my purse and car and these babies are perfect to have on hand! Our local Target carries these yummy bars- click or enter the link to find them near you and get snackin’!
Krēk Wood Company’s serveware: I don’t think there’s anything more beautiful than handcrafted pieces, whether it’s spoons or bowls- I love knowing each piece has a history and is unique. Krēk Wood Company owner, Justin Kreikemeier, creates a rainbow of spoons, spatulas, and other kitchenware using repurposed wood. These are a perfect gift for the cooking lover in your life! Check out Krēk Wood on Facebook!
Hope ya’ll have a fabulous weekend!
