Good morning friends! Happy Friday to you! This week felt a bit on the long side…so I am welcoming the weekend with open arms. Not much planned for tonight, but I’ve got a family get together tomorrow evening and Sunday is looking wide open for some much needed apartment cleaning, football watching, blog planning, and relaxing! A few favorites to share with you from the week and I rounded up some Whole Foods sale goodies, along with a few more notable clothing sales. Grab your coffee…Cheers to the weekend!
STARBUCKS HOLIDAY CUPS
Well, even I’m surprised with this favorite of the week…for 2 reasons… 1. I typically don’t drink Starbucks (very expensive in my opinion) and 2. I’m a big proponent of reusable coffee tumblers (I own both a Healthy Human and a Yeti and I love them). BUT, there is something nostalgic about Starbucks holiday cups.
Year after year, millions of people longingly await the arrival of the magical, holiday cup, and when it emerges, it feels as though the holiday season has officially kicked off. With this week’s cold temps and an extremely early Wednesday morning, I decided to treat myself to a little holiday drink. And I have to say…it did ignite a burst of holiday joy!
I’m sure you’re thinking… “could’ve guessed this one!” I have been all about these pancakes this week (it all started on Saturday and the obsession has not stopped). I cannot tell you how easy these pancakes are to make, not to mention delicious and filling, with super clean ingredients. I was sort of in a breakfast rut…I’m not a fan of eggs in the early morning, I needed a break from cold smoothies, and I wanted something different than oatmeal.
Enter Birch Benders pancakes (I’ve been using the Pumpkin Paleo flavor). I highly recommend you try if you’re a pancake lover. I use slightly more liquid than the directions indicate (package says 1/2 C mix + 1/3 water), I probably used equal parts dry/liquid and I love the way they turn out. I like to melt peanut butter on top of the pancakes for an extra burst of flavor. (I have my eye on a few seasonally flavored peanut butters from Wild Friends to drizzle on these bad boys).
SEASON 2 OF STRANGER THINGS
If you have not watched season 1 of Stranger Things, I highly encourage you to do so. I’m pretty sure Stranger Things has been on a Finds and Faves post before, but since we’re working with a whole new season, it’s fair game. Matt and I are currently on episode 5 for this season, and it’s just getting better and better. Rarely does a show completely captivate me…and Stranger Things does for sure. (I think the last series I was this fond of was Breaking Bad). Anyway, watch it!

You can find all my athleisure favorites on my favorite products page, but this week, I think the notable sale is Gap Friends and Family- tons of cozy things available from GapFit, which you can get for 40-50% off. The hoodie I ordered earlier this week and a few other tops I shared are already sold out, but I also think this pullover is so cute and versatile, as is this one with the thumb holes. These leggings are my fave- so fun! Act fast, seems like items are going quickly!
I am obsessed with these Steve Madden sneakers (kind of perfect for someone who takes barre; stroll to class in style before transferring into those sticky socks). Am I right? They are not on sale, but a decent price as is.
J CREW FACTORY:
Currently offering 25% off your purchase. This pullover looks so comfy and would pair perfectly with a quilted vest, jeans, and sneakers for an easy weekend look. Another great option? This gray pullover with a funnel neck. One final fun find…these adorable slippers. An awesome, awesome price point!
Loft is my go-to (along with Nordstrom) for “real” clothes. Loft is offereing 40-50% off tops and sweaters, as well as an extra 50% off sale items. A couple things I own and love: this sleeveless coatigan (a fancy name for sweater vest) and this cut-out shoulder sweater in the wine color (I’ve already gotten so much use out of it). I’ve got my eye on this striped, tiered top, this open hoodie, and this velvet trim top for the holidays!
Alright, that’s it for me. Wishing you a warm, cozy, relaxing weekend! See you back here Monday for the weekly dinner menu!
